Recent watercolor painting I did of Marlon Brando as The Godfather.
In a way, this is a re-do of my Godfather painting from 2009. Suffice to say, that one was not the best work I'd done. It bothered me that the likeness got away from me and looked sloppy. This time, I made the effort to get the likeness correct and took my time rendering the painting. I feel that the effort paid off.
As well, this was the first time I used hot press watercolor board, tube watercolor paint (ShinHan), and clear wax crayons for a resist technique. Have to say I really like watercolor. A lot of my marker technique is essentially watercolor technique, so the transition I guess is fairly seamless.
