Howdy howdy to y'all-

Here's my contribution to the Cloverfield/1-18-08/Monsterous/Parasite/JJ Abrams kaiju design thing going on here on DA. Generally speaking, this is more or less an amalgamation of the different design theories floating about on the interwebs. The whale aspect is worked into the face and the ventral pleats. The reptilian aspect is worked into the general idea of the body and tail, along with the claws and selected texture. Of course, the kaiju is humanoid, being bi-pedal and having digits. I also threw in some idea about parasite with the teeth. Overall, I really like the way this came out. I doubt the monster will actually look like this, but wouldn't it be cool?


Also, if anyone wants to slap some color on this, be mah guest. Just hook me up with a link and it'll be all good.

Actually, that's got a lot of similarities to the actual monster. Head it similar, it has four arms, the tail... very nice guesswork!

Anyway. You going to see it on the opening night?

Well... sorry to tell you this, but each time you see it it's about 30 seconds.

However, they are very static 30 seconds. :P :P

Ans you got the basic shape of the thing right, I'll tell you that much. The head's a little insect-like, the limbs are thin and the tail is long and thin, like in The Host, but less prehensile.


That's all I'm saying, though.
